I'm Eve, 15, 5' 3", and a relatively new varsity rower. This is not one of those training blogs from the best girl on the team. I know I'm not the best, i just want to work hard and be as good as I can be.

i still don’t really know if i’m gonna be posting on here or not, but i’m gonna try to start biking/running everyday
my first day was today, it was pretty solid i went past the crew team which was a bit weird but i didn’t really care too much
i went about 10 miles in about 50 minutes, which i’m fine with considering i haven’t biked in ages. actually i don’t know what times on a bike really mean, so i don’t know. but yeah, i felt alright, now i just have to muster through aps as well. got psych on monday, i need to start studying
Gotta love rowing in Miami
OMG it’s so beautiful I want to row that water so hard.

Originally from Rowing is not a sport, it is an addiction
i keep saying ok im quitting thats it and then i start romanticizing crew and rowing to what i know it wont be
and im sad im not going to states buts it not worth all the frustration ill have to go through to get there
its just the little stuff like the varsity item and things that i want and i want to be with my friends but there are a lot of people im not a huge fan of either
in general there are like 400 cons and 2 pros to staying on the team, and im always happier when im not there
its just hard
crew was so important to me for a long time and after all this shit that happened i just dont care about it anymore and that makes me really sad
i just wish it could be like how it was last year i really did love it once
so yeah i know i don’t post on here a lot and i have very few followers, but here’s the situation regarding me and rowing
i have severe muscle strain to the subscapularis, teres major, and serratus anterior, which is making crew very difficult and uncomfortable
i know it kind of sounds like that isn’t much of an injury (because i don’t think it does, it’s just muscle strain not like a broken bone) but it’s actually quite a problem. i haven’t decided yet if i’m going to take the whole season off or not, there are a lot of other factors that would lead me to that which i won’t talk about on here. but i’m leaning towards that decision, and i thought i’d just say that
i think i’m going to start doing a lot more running and trying to get myself in better shape, because i’ve gained around 15 lbs that i’d like to lose. so i might use this blog to chronicle that, i’m still not sure. school is long and hard
